How important is it to ask yourself while you are reading or while you are writing any autobiography? Really important. If you are reading, it is important to ask yourself, “So what?”. While you read, the words on the page or pages should answer to your question. The pages could answer the similar questions, “So what happens next?”, or “So what? Why does this story matter in his/her life?”. That is what I believe the question “So what?” is really asking.
How about in your own autobiography? Very important. If the readers are going to be asking this question while they read, so should you while you write it. You could ask yourself these questions: “So what happens next?”, or “So what? Why does this story matter in my life?”. It is important. It helps the reader understand why you included this story in your book, and it keeps him/her on her feet.
